Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation True-Up

For many business clients, July marks the beginning of the “true-up” period for the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. Many of our clients have received a notice from the State of Ohio reminding them to complete the “true-up” calculation on the Ohio BWC website. This calculation is a crucial step in the Ohio BWC’s new prospective billing, in which employers are required to report their actual gross payroll for the year ending June 30, 2017 and reconcile any differences in the premiums that were paid. The final payment is due on August 15, 2017 and must be submitted through the Ohio BWC website at www.bwc.ohio.gov.
